Word Weavers International Blog Challenge: Thanks For Publishing My Favorite Christmas Memory

As this Christmas fast approaches, I’m sure there are memories of Christmas past drifting through your mind, as well as hopes for the wonderful memories you will make this year. For me, Christmas is a time of joy and anticipation for the memories yet to be created. Although chilly most everywhere, this season is a time of warmth and an opportunity to love others more deeply.

For most of us Christmas is a happy time, but there are some that are dealing with loss, trauma, and tragedy. For many others, financial difficulties make it impossible to have a traditional Christmas meal with a decorated tree surrounded by gifts.

I was so thankful to be part of Word-Weavers International December 2020 “Blog Challenge” and be given the opportunity to recall a special Christmas moment. It was a wonderful chance to share a sad experience but intermingle this with a humorous Christmas morning that brought my family together and created a deeper bond.

It was the year we lost my stepdad, and my mom came to visit and although Mom was floating in that in between, she found time to be a very naughty lady. I’d love for you to click the link, share a laugh, and enjoy this insightful moment with me.

Thanks again to Word Weavers International for publishing my short tale about Cool Granny’s Wake-up Call that happened one unexpected Christmas morning. Check it out and discover how I learned that life is short, and people matter more than things.

Have a very Merry Christmas. I’d love to hear one of your humorous or insightful Christmas tales.

1 Corinthians 13:13 And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.
