Why I also Write for Children

 

Dorito Finds His Boy began as a story I simply had to tell—the true tale of my grandson and the rescue cat who slowly let him in. What started as a heartfelt gift for our family quickly became something more: a tender reminder of the healing power of patience, empathy, and connection.

 

As I wrote, I realized this wouldn’t be my only children’s book. I wanted to create something for each of my grandsons—stories that reflect their unique hearts and the quiet, powerful lessons children so often teach us. I believe that even the youngest readers deserve stories that speak to belonging, kindness, and the beauty of accepting others just as they are.

 

My hope is that these books will offer families moments of reflection, connection, and warmth. More stories are coming soon, each filled with the same soulful heartbeat that runs through everything I write—whether for children or grown-ups.
