Lori Carol Maloy Counseling

Masters Degree in Professional Counseling
Licensed Mental Health Counselor
Member of Emdria and EMDR Certified

I'm a licensed mental health counselor in Central Florida and a follower of Christ, offering compassionate, whole-person care for those navigating anxiety, trauma, grief, or major life transitions.

I've walked alongside clients facing PTSD, depression, relational wounds, and deep overwhelm--helping them discover not just coping strategies, but a way back to themselves. I'm EMDRIA trained in both Level One and Two for EMDR. I hold a Master's in Professional Counseling from Liberty University, and have worked in both community mental health and private practice.

My approach is warm, honest, and rooted in the belief that healing happens best in safe, sacred spaces--where nothing has to be polished to be welcomed.

If you're feeling untethered, weary, or unsure of your next step, you're not alone. I'd be honored to walk with you.

When you're ready, the light is on.

"A bruised reed He will not break, and a smoldering wick He will not snuff out."

A reminder that gentle things are still held sacred.

My goal is to help clients find wholeness through self-discovery and learn to find peace through life's transitions.

Provide therapy in a warm and empathic environment where collaboration is key to forward movement.

My Approach to Therapy

Each person who walks through my door brings a unique story—and I believe the path to healing must be just as unique. My work is grounded in empathy, curiosity, and collaboration. Together, we’ll create a space where you feel safe, seen, and supported as we explore the experiences that have shaped you.

I draw from a wide range of therapeutic approaches to meet your specific needs, honoring the whole person—mind, body, and spirit. My work is integrative, which means I blend evidence-based modalities with intuition, presence, and soul.

Some of the approaches I draw from include:

  • CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy)

  • EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) – I’m EMDRIA-trained in both Level One and Two

  • Internal Family Systems (IFS)

  • Adlerian Therapy

  • Attachment-Based Therapy

  • Somatic and body-awareness approaches

  • Narrative and trauma-informed talk therapy

These modalities help address a wide range of concerns, including:

  • Anxiety

  • Trauma & PTSD

  • Low self-worth and self-esteem

  • Depression and grief

  • Relationship wounds

  • Life transitions and identity shifts

  • Women’s issues

  • Emotional and spiritual disconnection

If you're unsure what kind of therapy you need, that’s okay. We’ll find your starting place together. Healing is not one-size-fits-all—it’s personal, sacred, and deeply human.
