Maybe that’s what healing looks like too: warmth, sweetness, and the courage to make something good from what’s left. So enjoy this pear and cranberry skillet crisp recipe.
Pear and Cranberry Skillet Crisp Recipe
Serves 6 | Prep 15 min | Bake 35 min
Ingredients
3 ripe pears, peeled and sliced
1 cup fresh or frozen cranberries
¼ cup maple syrup or brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp cinnamon
½ tsp nutmeg
1 cup old-fashioned oats
½ cup flour (or almond flour)
½ cup melted butter (or coconut oil for dairy-free)
Pinch of salt
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F.
In a cast-iron skillet or baking dish, toss pears, cranberries, maple syrup, vanilla, and spices.
In a separate bowl, mix oats, flour, butter, and salt until crumbly.
Sprinkle topping evenly over the fruit.
Bake 30–35 minutes, until the top is golden and the fruit is bubbling.
Serve warm — maybe with a spoonful of vanilla ice cream and a few quiet moments.
